Archery Champs is a precision sports simulation game that tests player patience, wind calculation, and timing. Players take aim at stationary and moving targets across distances ranging from 10 meters to over 50 meters. The aiming sight sways in a subtle figure-eight loop to simulate the archer's natural breathing pattern.

Shooting the moment you draw the string often leads to missed shots. Successful archers draw the bow, observe the sway pattern for a brief moment, calculate environmental factors, and release the arrow right as the sight sways over the target center.

Calculating Wind Vector Correction

At the top of the screen, a real-time wind meter displays wind direction and speed (in mph or m/s). Wind exerts a strong sideways drag force on the arrow during flight. For instance, if the wind is blowing to the right at 5 mph, your arrow will drift significantly to the right.

To compensate, aim your crosshair to the left of the bullseye. The distance you aim away from the center depends on both wind velocity and target distance. At 50 meters, a 5 mph wind requires placing the crosshair near the outer 7-ring to land a center bullseye.

Distance Scaling & Arrow Gravity Drop

Gravity causes arrows to drop in height as flight distance increases. For close targets at 10m, arrow drop is negligible, and aiming directly at the yellow center will hit. However, for distant targets at 40m or 50m, gravity pulls the arrow downward significantly.

Combine wind offset and gravity compensation into a single aiming point. For a distant target with rightward wind, aim your crosshair above and to the left of the yellow center circle before releasing your draw.

Breathing Cycle Resets & Bow Upgrades

If you hold your bow draw for too long (over 5 seconds), your archer's stamina depletes, causing the crosshair to sway wildly. If your sight sways out of control, drag your mouse or finger off-screen to cancel the shot without wasting an arrow, resetting your stamina.

Use coins earned from stage victories to purchase upgraded compound bows and arrows in the shop. Upgraded bows feature higher string tension, reducing arrow flight time and crosshair sway.
